SEVEN SCARY STORIES
Until I reached my twenties, almost every movie or book I read was a scary one. I devoured horror books and films as if they were the only genre available. I even remember my mother and I being summoned to the principal's office because I had submitted a book report on Misery, by Steven King. Thankfully, my mother has always been supportive of me and told them they should be impressed that a sixth grader was intelligent enough to comprehend such a sophisticated book. Shortly after that I was again called in for my own story about a sadistic, cannibalistic, serial killer. My mother told them off and than years later encouraged me to expand on my story. I did, and eventually wrote a 400 page behemoth ( which I’m currently trying to publish). Unfortunately, my submersion to all things horror eventually started to affect my dreams and I wasn’t able to read or watch anything scary for a very long time. Well, I’m back, sort of. I’m slowly stepping back towards the darkness so I wanted to share some of the spooky stories that still haunt my dreams all these years later.
