We learn in volume 2 The Aztec Goddess, that Tuck, a meddlesome gnome, can only be summoned by a song of love and purity. His definition of such emotions may be strange and confusing to us humans so here are a few of my favorite love songs to get you in the mood.

1. These Arms of Mine - Otis Redding, Pain in My Heart 1962 Stax Records- If you have never listened to Otis Redding it's time to start.

 

2. Unchained Melody - Al Green,  by Alex North and Hy Zaret, Livin' for You 1973 Royal Recording Studios - Al Green could be singing the phone book and still get my juices flowing.

 

3.Sexual Healing - Marvin Gaye,  Midnight Love 1982 Motown Records - Marvin, Marvin, Marvin... Too many hot songs to count.

 

4. Darling Nikki - Prince, Purple Rain 1984 Warner Brothers. Everything Prince sings drips with sexuality but this song has got some extra stank on it. ( I've always wondered if there is any truth to the story???)

 

5. I'll Make Love to You - Boyz II Men, by Babyface, II 1994 Motown.  I had to throw this in. It makes me swoon every time I hear it.

 

6.Crash into Me - Dave Matthews, Crash 1996 RCA. Although I'm not a huge Dave Matthews fan I have to admit this song was basically a rite of passage for us 90's folks.

 

7. Wild Thing - Tone-Loc ,by Anthony Terrell Smith, Matt Dike, & Marvin Young, Loc-ed After Dark 1989 Delicious Vinyl. If I've said it once I've said it a thousand times, " Sex doesn't need to be so serious."
