July 20th is "Moon Day". This July in particular will host a: Full Thunder Moon, a partial Lunar and a Total Solar Eclipse. If that's not enough, how about a rare Black Moon to round it all out. Those of us born in July know that the Moon is our ruling planet, our emotions tend to wax and wain with its cycles. Here are a few more Lunar excuses for celestial celebrations.

 

1.  New Moon - The Moon is not visible at this time because it is between the      Earth and the Sun. *Time for new beginnings, quiet reflection, and                  planning. 

 

2.   Black Moon - 2nd New Moon in a single calendar month, happens about           every 32 months - *2X the chance to creating something New.

 

3.   Full Moon - Moon is big and bright in the sky due to the Earth, being               between the Moon and the Sun. * Time for completion, harvest, creativity         and wisdom.

 

4.   Blue Moon - 2nd Full Moon in the same month, happens once every 2.7           years.- *Double up on your chance to learn from your mistakes.

 

5.  Blood Moon - This controversial occurrence is the result of the moon               appearing red in color during a, Total Lunar Eclipse. However some argue          a true Blood Moon only transpires after 4 totally eclipsed moons in a row.-     *This apocalyptic phase is a great chance to wipe the slate clean.

 

6.   Super Moon - A time when the Full moon is the closest to the Earth in its       elliptic orbit. The Moon with appear huge and bright in the sky.- * Time to       bring positive changes in your life.

 

7.   Moon Dog - Rainbow around the Moon caused by the refraction of                   Moonlight on water droplets or ice crystals in the atmosphere. ( It's also the      name of my farm :-) -* A sign of good luck and also a warning or message       of caution.
