SEVEN SUMMER BLOOMING STALKS
1. Astilbe - Saxifragaceae or False Spirea- Plumelike flower clusters and delicate foliage. Blooms in shades of lavender to blood red.
2. Delphinium - Ranunculaceae - Short or tall these spires of beauty usually hold blue flowers but shades of pink, white & red can also be found.
3. Echinacea purpurea - or Purple Coneflower- Know for the healing tea they provide these lovely flowers scream summer. Bloom in shades of purple, orange and white.
4. Hibiscus - More varieties to count but they all have there charms and a place in the garden. Flowers can be small or the size of dinner plates. Colors from pure white to tie dye rainbow.
5. Kniphofia- Red Hot Poker -. Super cool cross between a grass a succulent and of course the flower. Best to just check out the images on this one.
6. Platycodon- Balloon Flower- So cute and so little. Just makes you want to squeeze it. Come's in pink & white but the blue is where it's at.
7. Rudbeckia - Black-Eyed Susan -Classic yellow and orange flower a lot like a sunflower but a bit more interesting. Shades of bloom are from bright yellow to mahogany.
