Seven things that "Once a day keep the Doctor away"

This list contains 7 things that many say if you take some each day you will live a long healthy life. I suggest you speak to your doctor before beginning any of these regimens.

1.  Apples. "Eat an apple on going to bed, and you'll keep the doctor from         earning his bread." So what's so healthy about apples? First, they contain     pectin which can lower both blood pressure and glucose levels. Throw in       some Boron which supports strong bones and a healthy brain. Add               Quercetin, studies show it can reduce the risk of various cancers and so         much more. Vitamin C. Yes please. How about a few phytonutrients, such       as vitamins A and E and Beta Carotene. These compounds can reduce the       risk of heart disease, diabetes and asthma. Anything else? Oh ya apples         also act as a toothbrush.

2.  Noni juice. "A shot a day keeps all your ailments at bay." Noni (Indian            Mulberry) is a tropical tree found in the Pacific and Asia. It's use has been      documented for thousands of years. All parts of the tree are used for            every ailment under the sun. However the juice, which is made from the        fermented fruit, is what we are talking about today. The smell is horrible      which is why it is also lovingly called, "Stink Fruit" here in Hawaii. Best          taken in small doses here are a few reasons Noni makes the list;  Treats        Arthritis, lowers risk of Gout, boosts energy and immunity, moisturizes          skin, fights aging, prevents Cancer, treats Fever and scalp irritation and        don't forget Noni can reduce stress.

3.  Apple cider vinegar. "Small shot a day helps you live another day." My            sister's husband's mother (is there a better term?) turned me onto this.        She is strong, beautiful, healthy and happy so I believe her. Here are just      a few reasons to give Apple Cider Vinegar a shot. Aids in weight loss,            reduces cholesterol, lowers blood sugar levels and improves symptoms of      diabetes. Vinegar can help kill pathogens, including bacteria which aids in      treating nail fungus, lice, warts and ear infections. It is linked in lowering      cases of heart disease by lowering cholesterol and triglyceride levels,            along with several other heart disease risk factors. There are also some        studies showing that vinegar reduces blood pressure and can kill cancer        cells and shrink tumors. Some say it boost energy and in my                        experience, it does.

4.  Cayenne pepper. "Teaspoon a day all your pain goes away." Used for over      9,000 years to cure all, yet you may just be hearing about it now.                  Cayenne is used to help digestion, including upset stomach,                        slow intestinal gas, stop stomach pain, stop diarrhea and as a natural          remedy for cramps. It’s also used for conditions of the                                heart and blood vessels — including to improve poor circulation,                  reverse excessive blood clotting, lower high cholesterol and prevent            heart disease. When consumed, cayenne pepper can relieve toothaches,        seasickness, alcoholism, malaria and fever. It’s also used to help people        who have difficulty swallowing. Here are even more popular                        uses. Relieves Migraine Pain, Prevents Blood Clots, Relieves Joint and            Nerve Pain, Supports Weight Loss, Treats Psoriasis, Boosts Metabolism,        Fights Cold and Flu, Prevents Allergies, Possible Anti-Cancer Agent and          even contains Anti-Fungal Properties.

It contains powerful antioxidants, which can reduce your      risk of chronic diseases. Extra-virgin olive oil can reduce inflammation,          and heart disease, improves the lining of your blood vessels and may            help prevent excessive blood clotting. It has also been shown to lower          blood pressure as well as aid in weight loss. It may also combat                  Alzheimer's disease and protective against type 2 diabetes. Studies have        linked it to beneficial effects on blood sugar and insulin sensitivity.              It also contains many nutrients that can inhibit or kill harmful bacteria.

6.  Spirulina "If it's from the sea it's the one for me."  Spirulina is a blue-          green algae that is high in protein and vitamins. Many use it to                    lose weight, improve gut health, manage their diabetes,                              lower cholesterol, reduce blood pressure, prevent heart disease, as well        as help regulate there immune system. Spirulina is also an                          antioxidant and contains inflammation-fighting properties. It has also          been known to; boost metabolism, reduce allergy symptoms as well as          supporting strong mental health. Spirulina produces, Tryptophan which is      an amino acid that supports serotonin production. If that doesn't do it          for you then how about its anti toxic properties that can save you from        arsenic, fluoride, iron, lead, or mercury poisoning.

7.  Sex "It's not food but who's counting?" Remember all those old excuses        to get you in the sack? Here's a few new ones for you to use. Sex actually      keeps your immune system healthy. It can also, boosts your libido,              improve women's bladder control (work those kegels) lower blood                pressure, and yes it does count as exercise. Getting laid can also lower          your risk of a heart attack and can make prostate cancer less likely.              Before you reach for an aspirin or a sleep aid, remember orgasms can          reduce pain, stress and even help you sleep better.
