SEVEN SUNBURN REMEDIES
Summertime, and the sunburns come easy... OK, so I left out a camping tip last week.. Wear sunblock! If, like most of humanity, you forgot to put on your sunscreen or perhaps to simply reapply, I have some solutions to help you recover from your sunburn.

1. Mashed Potatoes - Potatoes are a natural pain reliever and the starch helps to draw heat away from skin. Slice RAW potatoes and blend into a thick paste before applying. ( I'm not just adding this because I'm from Idaho.. Or am I?)
2. Bath time - Draw a cool bath and add 1 cup of Baking Soda. Soak and Soothe..
3. Aloe Vera - If you don't have a plant to pull from go get one and plant it.. Until then, look for pure Aloe gel. A lot of products contain multiple fillers so read the label.
4. Fight fire with fire - This sounds awful but take a HOT shower and use mild soap so as not to dry out your skin further. I have no science to back this but it works and will relive the pain.
5. Hydrate - Drink lots of water and eat juicy fruits such as melons, celery and other water rich foods. This should be done in conjunction will all the remedies.
6. Time to raid the fridge - Yogurt. Smooth plain yogurt on burned areas. Enzymes and probiotics can speed healing and the creamy texture aids in moisturizing.
7. Get back in the tub - Green, Black, or Mint tea in a cool bath tub will soothe your burn while healing your skin.
