Is it still (DRY) January???

Now on to the ramblings of a sober writer. I have to admit, I just reread my first published book, Catalina, Queen of the Nightlings V1 Cleopatra's Pearls and although it's hard not to set it down every few pages to act out the scenes, I can tell it is the first of it's kind. However, please don't give up, for as I continue to read I am happy to discover that they ( I ) do get much better :-)

So with all that, this has been a busy month for me ( yes, already ) My usual day begins with a bit of a work out. Okay I'll be honest I WISH my usual day started with exercise. Alas, I typically just start with coffee and the morning news. It's generally a battle between who's turn it is. Mine or my husband's that is. We try to make domestic chores 50/50 but life isn't always fair. I continually suggest the idea of training our dog to do the meningeal house work, but for some reason she would rather snuggle on the couch. I guess I'll just wait for my super robot in the mail, till then it's coffee, news, then play in the yard. I just planted my "Food Forest" and every day I pick and preen over it's progression. It's a lot of work maintaining the property but it's only a preamble for my life in five years when everything starts fruiting. So until then I'll just keep watering and doing the dishes.

Everything has changed now. I usually spend the mornings writing or editing. However, I'm in that wonderful place right now where my book has just been published and I should be working on promoting it. That brings us to now. As I mentioned, I have made a promises to myself to promote and publicize my work. I feel that it is worth your time to read it and the only way that will happen is if I get it out for you to find. So There! Oh ya, BUY MY BOOK!!!

If you didn't pick it up from the above text I try to live a life of leisure, I'm not bragging it's just that with everything I'm trying to do now ( book signings, online tours, web design, & blogging, ) I'm getting a bit over whelmed. Oh ya did I mention I haven't had a drop to drink since January 1st !!! I don't even have the excuse to say I'm part of the Dry Jan fad. My husband and I decided to stay sober all of January in November. Why do we do these things to ourselves ? Do I really think my liver is going to throw me a party or that I'm not going to crack open a bottle of Champagne in celebration of my pathetic achievement? Either way I have no complaints. I love my life, my husband, my dog, and my baby farm. I wish you all the best on your own goals and resolutions.
